Canadian Diabetes Association 's Diabetes Summer Surge

Example : My Husband and I will celebrate my 69 th birthday and onwards to the next decade, July 25 ; living with diabetes for 26 1/2 years. .We are hosting our guests at a local gelato , coffee shop ..no birthday cards, no gifts other than a minimum donation of CAN $ 20,00 per person . Our personal goal is to reach $ 1,000.00 . CDA's goal is to reach $ 1,000.000.00

Yes Nel this is a locally sponsored run. The money raised goes towards local children with T1 as well as to the Robarts research Institute. I sure will cross with a smile, and will look forward to more events to come.

WISH ME LUCK !!!!! I have just signed up for my first ever 5mile/8km Dash For Diabetes, I will be accompanied by my family and our dog. It is taking place on Sept 5/09 in Kincardine Ont, a bit of a late start on my pledges but better late than never.I will be more prepared for it next year.

The Diabetes Summer Surge event has been by popular demand been extended to Sept. 15 .
