DiabEtiquette: A Discussion of Type 1 Diabetes Social Behavior
JDRF Bay Area invites adults with type 1 diabetes to a special reception and panel presentation.

Please join us as we explore the topic of diabetes etiquette in a fun, casual, and open-minded setting. Questions about codes of conduct and ethics while managing type 1 diabetes will be addressed, such as:
- Who do you talk to about your diabetes? Colleagues? Friends? Family? The general public?
- How do you talk about it?
- Do you try to be discreet when administering insulin or checking blood sugar?
- How do you respond to ignorance about type 1 diabetes?
Share experiences and hear the perspectives of others who live with T1D – including talking to people who don’t “get it!”
Event attendees are encouraged to bring along a significant other, family member or friend.
