How to participate

We've postponed our originally planned event this week in order to take some time together as a community to honor and remember our dear member, jrtpup. Join us in the TuDiabetes homepage chatroom to celebrate this phenomenal woman, share stories about the incredible support she offered so many of us, remember hilarious moments with her, re-tell some of her jokes, and maybe do a little crying as we recognize the loss that her passing is for this community.  Diabetes Hands Foundation staff will be joining via live-stream.

Jrtpup passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on the morning of January 28th.  You can read the post about pup's passing, and the outpouring of community feelings, here.

I only just found out. I am so upset. She was such a love.

Pup was the first to chat with me when I first joined Tudiabetes. She was almost always there when I signed on with a low bg and just didn't feel like being alone. I am really sad to hear that she has passed and will do my best to participate while I get dinner on the table for my daughter tomorrow.

Sometimes I still have a hard time participating as the chat pace confuses me. But as I so often do, I will lurk and "listen."

I'm so sorry to hear this. she was so responsive on this site to me and other new or struggling people. I can only imagine what a light she was in person. to honor her Ill try even harder to reach out to others when I see them struggling <3
