Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Alejandra Schrader grew up in a traditional, middle-class Venezuelan home with her parents, two sisters, and a large extended family. Some of her earliest memories revolve around cooking with my mother and preparing meals that brought everyone together. Even as a child, Alejandra loved to be given duties in the kitchen and learned family recipes from both her mother and Mamaita (her grandmother).
Alejandra will give us a cooking demo and talk about her experiences with good food, weight-loss, and the FOX reality TV show MasterChef.
