 er, Boston.\nCarolé (Pronounced Carol-lee) Mensing has a long history
  of experience in diabetes as a clinician, educator, editor, author an
 d active diabetes volunteer.\nCurrently, Ms. Mensing serves as the Cha
 ir/ President of the local coordinating body of the American Associati
 on of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and is a member of the local Boston Ar
 ea ADA Board, member of the national Volunteer Community Leadership Co
 mmittee for ADA, and has just completed a third year as board member o
 f the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE).\nHer most rec
 ent publication as editor is,The Art and Science of Diabetes Self-Mana
 gement Education Desk Reference - second Edition. In addition, Ms. Men
 sing has served as the President, Health Care and Education for the Am
 erican Diabetes Association. \nBefore joining the Joslin Diabetes Cent
 er in Boston, Ms. Mensing served as Clinical Nurse Specialist and Coor
 dinator of the Diabetes Program at the University of Connecticut, Farm
 ington, and Nurse clinician at Childrens’ Hospital\nin Hartford, CT.
  She has also worked with the highly regarded diabetes program at Inte
 rnational Diabetes Center, Group Health and Health Partners, Minneapol
 is, MN in pediatrics, and adult medicine clinics, and was the camp nur
