Event Description

Local Battle Ground, Washington residents Tara Walker and George Berger, founders of the Back in the Saddle! team, will be participating in the Tour de Cure’s 27 mile ride July 25th, 2009.

Tour de Cure is a series of fund-raising cycling events held in 40 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association.

Last year, more than 38, 000 cyclists in 78 Tour events raised nearly $16 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

If you would like to ride along with Tara and George as part of the Back in the Saddle team, you can register online on the team’s main page at http://main.diabetes.org/goto/backinthesaddle. In order to ride there is a $25.00 registration fee and a minimum fundraising amount of $150.00 per rider. Our team fundraising goal is $1000, but we are going to see if we can’t break that! For further information please contact Tara.
