For the first time ever Type 1 Talk comes to the Central Valley in conjunction with Diabetes Hands Foundation (TuDiabetes) and the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM).
Beginning at 9 am, participants will start the day with complimentary breakfast while hearing some of the incredible work of the diabetes patient community in No Sugar Added Poetry. (Books will be available at the event.)
People touched by diabetes and their loved ones are welcome to attend this inspirational event to share and meet with others who live with type 1. Following Type 1 Talk, the program continues with the CIRM Stem Cell Research Update where scientists will present on strides in autoimmune disease research. The program includes a complimentary lunch and an opportunity for patient advocates to talk and share with one another and the group. 100 people are expected to attend from the JDRF, Diabetes Hands Foundation and CIRM networks. The program begins at 9 am and ends at 2 pm. See you there!
