After having a rough time with my blood sugars last year (and an A1C of about 8.6), I finally took charge and did something about it-bringing it down to 7.5% and finally 7.2%. My nurse was please and I was thrilled, hoping to maintain these A1Cs and bring them down to the 6's if I could. Unfortunately, my A1C from the last 3 months ended up back at 8.2% due to pump blocks (which I mentioned previously). Worse, I am now seeing blood sugars of 300s, 400s, even a 500 here and there. Luckily, they do not last for more than an hour after I correct them, but I cannot lie that I am feeling awfully depressed-after months of good control, my bgs are erratic. I am seeing people with great control and anxious about complications with my control. I'm 22 years old and T1 for about 18 years now. I'm not sure if I should talk to a pump trainer or go back to injections. Feeling awful. Any insight would be appreciated.
