gee, Libby, just when I had convinced myself I have type 2, you got me thinking about LADA again. I got diagnosed seven months ago. These days I can spike very quickly to over 140 in less than 30 minutes on 18grams of carbs and then be back to normal in two hours, if not yet there (like 105-ish) will be at 2.5 hours. Only lately I see reactive lows, but I haven't been calling it that, as it follows, say, an hour of bike riding. I don't see super lows, at least not yet. I'm not sure yet exactly what the "reactive" means. All my early morning fastings are normal, a happy 80s.
So what I'm going to change is do one hour post meals rather than just two hours and see how many meals are doing worse than I knew. I had been on Januvia, now just take a pill on the rare days I have a spike over 140 at two hours but I finally suspect I'm spiking more at an earlier time.
Any chance that a case of anemia would mimic LADA? Just wondering.
I'm not scheduled to see the doc til the annual in August.
