Hi Super_sally, welcome, Acknowledging a problem is the best way to start tackling it, so kudos to you, how are you?
Hi! I just joined this website but all the same have been dealing with this disorder for five years now. It's the most frustrating and endless cycle you can imagine and I can relate to everything you said. I too binge almost daily but am not overweight at all, I like you said would be devastated to gain weight. I think about food and my weight all the time but at the same time i cant stop the binging. constantly tired and irritable due to high sugar and no one seems to understand. I'd love to talk further w you as it's nice to know you're not alone.
I would also encourage you to contact our fellow member @Asha1 who founded http://www.wearediabetes.org/ which provides lots of resources and help to those that struggle with eating disorders.
Welcome to the family. I don't have personal experience with this, but we are here to help you in whatever ways we can. I believe admitting you know this is a problem is a brave first step. Here's a video of an interview we had with Ashahttp://www.tudiabetes.org/video/tudiabetes-live-interview-diabetes-and-eating-disorders-with-asha-brown/
Same, I suffer from the same and often not know where to turn to for help in my real world (as opposed to online world) sigh
Thank you so much for the support I have been just waiting to connect with people who understand as I don t know anyone with type one!! It's such a nice relief knowing people get it.
Please visit www.wearediabetes.org and feel free to fill out a Client Self-Assessment form found on the About Us section of the website. The more information you provide to me, the easier it is for me to help you!
