Update - Day 25: Today was a good day, generally. In the next phase of the program (for me, anyway) I still have to avoid dairy, but can have beef again (and taking advantage of it ). Nothing was said about the starchy veggies or grains, but, for now, I am still mostly avoiding those. I am supposed to try and add "intermittent fasting" 2-3 days a week in the form of keeping my eating (three meals) to a 6-8 hour period and eating nothing outside that time (except black coffee, team water). On my own, I also decided that I'd better do basal testing to see if my adjusted basal profile is correct throughout the day. The intermittent fasting fits in nicely with that. So far, I did a midday fast on Sunday, with good results. Today, I delayed breakfast until 1:30pm - also with good results. Will have to plan for an evening fast. I also plan to repeat all of those at least once. I have two concerns at this point: First, I still have a loss of energy/malaise feeling in the mid-afternoons. Second. I've noticed that, while still good, my average BG has been rising a bit more like 94 now, up from 88 the first week. Not a big change, but a trend that I'm watching closely.
As I said, today was pretty good, overall. Delayed breakfast, but ended yp eating lunch too-soon afterward. Took a walk (despite the heat) and saw a bit of a rise in BG after the walk, but only to 121. Had some burgers (no bun), cauliflower and mushrooms for dinner. Very low-carb day, and am appropriately good-looking Dexcom graph:
With an average of 87 and deviation of just 7, and 100% in-range, I wish everyday was like this!
Here is the last 14-day Clarity report:
Average 94, SD: 19, 94.4% in-range.
