If YES, give the before and after total daily dose (TDD), tell the type (e.g. Novalog or Humulin R, or whatever... ), or give estimate in the percent reduction.
Also be sure to tell us the dose of Symlin so we can understand the dose response.
Also, offer some remark on your confidence for the claim (such as high, medium, or low) to give us perspective.
If NO, that's helpful too to hear, too.
In this thread we prove nothing but share anecdote and experience.
Apparently Symlin is an great drug in some people. It can be used by the more progressed T-1, T-2, needle diabetics, and insulin pumpers. Some endos think Symlin and insulin (especially in a pump) is a gold standard of care. I don't know if popularity is waxing or waning. Like all drugs there are risks. And, it's expensive. This thread is not a recommendation for anyone to take it. My experience with Symlin is limited.
I started Symlin in Sept 2012 myself at 15 micrograms 3x with meal and now up to 30 micrograms each dose. So far so good. In a few weeks, I will go to 60 micrograms per dose.
