I was diagnosed with type 1 over this past summer. Once I was diagnosed, I took amazing care of myself. My a1c upon diagnosis was around 13 and a few months later it was 5.9. Since my a1c results were great, I really let go of my good habits. My sugars are sometimes in the 200s now. I feel awful and I'm worried that I'm not even into my first year of diabetes what the future will be like. I know it's mind over matter. How do you guys get yourself mentally motivated to get back on track, stay away from the sugar and be healthy? I'm a college student and it's tough sometimes. I guess I'm just looking for some motivation to put my head back in the game. Sometimes I feel on my own and I really don't have someone to keep me on track Ideas?
