I don't know your situation, but I think it's always good if you're moving to another country to spend as much time there before your permanent move so you can get an idea of what it's like to actually live there, not just visit. That's even more important for those of us with D!
The three different rapid acting insulins are really not greatly different from each other, though some people seem to do better on one than the other. I was put on Apidra when I started insulin because that's what was commonly used in Guatemala where I lived at that time. But I have stayed with it on return. It's actually a tad faster than the other 2 with a shorter tail, which I think makes it easier to predict action.
