Have a great run! I dislike mud/ paint/ foam events that are becoming popular. I run 5K a lot though, as I have a really convenient route through my neighborhood and, every now and then, I get a race on my calendar. I try to clear out insulin on board by getting up early, really early if necessary to get food on board and give the insulin a chance to clear out. If there's no insulin, I can usually do 5K on about 8-12G of carbs. I have practiced a lot and have a CGM too, but can start out around 90, see the snack push it up but then the run will get it back down by the end, which is sort of neat. Without a CGM, I'd probably bring a meter, just in case. A lot of 5K have water/ Gatorade stations at 1/2-2 miles but I usually blow by those because I'm trying to beat myself and don't want to slow down. By that time of the run, I can see the end and am like "get this over with!!" I'm totally unsure about the paint getting thrown at you business though. I would be leery of taking a pump through that as I'd be concerned that it may cause some problems.
