Excellently put @Brian_BSC. I remember when I was newly diagnosed, my father gave me the same advice.
After all, we are all trying to make diabetes suck less.
@Trudy1 sounds like my week Trudy! Ugh! Cheers to morning....shall we call it Damnesia?!
I am implementing this morning Brian! This routine thing as you call it...hmmm...? Thanks!
OMG I LOVE that term. Let's add it to our Diadictionary.
I get a similar effect in a somewhat different way. I have an actual, physical, hard copy checklist. "Morning Metformin", "Morning Basal", "Breakfast", etc., etc., etc. I check items off when they're done. Extreme, perhaps, but it works for me.
@cynthia_rogers. "Damnesia" is a perfect description of that morning, or your week! It does tend to sharpen one's brain for a day or two after.
I utilize a laminated checklist for my 13 year-old Type 1 daughter. I still have to nag her to follow it step by step. But it helps me make sure I haven't forgotten to "make" her do something important...
Sometimes I think diabetes is 'survival of the most organized and disciplined'...
