I am in the same boat. I was finishing my graduate work in the evening and as you know, that is the worst time for us. But, I did it! I am on a modified schedule at work where I work 6 hours at the office (sitting down does not work) and 2 hours from home. The arrangement was made because of the ADA requirements of providing reasonable accommodations. I do have a disability placard for the car.
Funny, I feel like a drug addict because I panic if I don't have the meds...I understand I am not, but I cannot let 3 hours lapse because the pain starts. Once that happens, it is hard to get rid of it.
Feel free to send me messages anytime. It is good to share the experience with someone else. There is a Neuropathy Association, but I have been to the meetings and the people there are a lot older 70, 80s...I could not relate even though I had the same condition. Theirs came with age while ours came a lot earlier. I think that we should create our own... I don't want to sound ageist (against the elderly) since I am 50yrs old, but I wasn't ready to see myself there when I was 41.
