Well I have posted before about my fear of my daughters becoming Type-1. Well the other day my oldest. Macey said probably the most amazing thing showing her understanding of my life with T-1. She has reminded me to test myself before and yelled at me to take shots before we have our treats on occasion. But the other day she had woken up as I was getting ready for work. I told her is was late and needed to go back to bed(I work 3rd). She asked for a cupcake, after seeing me put one in my lunch. I told her it was too late for a cupcake. "But you have one Daddy". I explained I needed it for work, then she said something that warmed my heart and showed that her little soon to br 5 year old heart understood more then I ever expected."You need the cupcake for if you blood sugar goes low at work? People with Diabetes sometimes need treats so they don't get sick and to stay alive?"
Needless to say she got a cupcake before going back to bed and a big hug.
