After spending the greater part of last week with my head in the toilet (I checked, no babies here), this weekend was a BG rollercoaster! Woke up high, did a correction, o wait now its going to drop ten times more than it should. Shake, drink juice, eat a granola bar, check 20 minutes later, still low? Good god! more juice. Check 30 mins later, 20 (high)! Kripe! Go all "Adjustment Bureau" on that, and then it levels out.
Well, let me tell you what happens next! I get the worst heartburn for like 2 days that no amount of Zantac or Tums is going to fix. I talked to my doctor about it once, and he told me that this is common for diabetics when our BG is erratic like mine was this weekend. Does anyone else suffer from heartburn after a sucession of highs and lows like that?
