carbs and exercise are the big issues that we have mathematical formulas to deal with. on my pump i can count the carbs up, put that number in and viola! there is my dose, correction added if needed. exercise is not a precise, but i know that if i go for a good brisk walk and my numbers are in a good place, i should cut my basal in half for the event and a half an hour after. i wish that there was a formula for stress. "well today looks like one of those double basal days..." do you have any method for dealing with stress in you blood sugar calculations?
