So, Today is my first day of testing every time I eat and I was super stoked and ready to be awesome!! but then I didn't really eat anything besides my meals. I'm strangely disappointed. But Whatevs.
I spent my day at my grandparent's house doing odd jobs for them. I painted the trim on a door, polished every cabinet in their house, and shined the floor. It's always loads of fun to hang out with my grandparents because my grandfather is going blind (he already has one prosthetic eye) so he just sits around listening to Jazz, Swing, and Big Band music and telling me random facts from his life. And then my grandmother is adorably senile and is constantly trying to fatten me up. It's like a party!
As Christmas draws nearer, I'm more excited than ever to be doing better with my diabetes because it's like a present to myself. But it's getting to be a little bit harder because my mom's partner is making crazy good cookies in large amounts. My whole house smells like cookies and I'm trying so hard not to eat them because I'm the type of person that can't eat just one.
On a positive note, all three of my tests have been below 200 :D This is a first for me in my baby steps journey to keep everything down!
Much love and thanks for the support!!!
