I have become quite addicted to the social website called Pinterest. I've found that it suits my many, and very eclectic interests (which is another way to say I'm rather weird, and I completely embrace it).
In case there is someone out there who doesn't know what Pinterest is, here is a quick summary: It's a way to share and collect information on any topic you can think of. You create virtual 'boards' and name them according to the information you wish to 'pin' there. You can have many boards or only a few. There is no cost to sign up, no membership or anything like that. You can make your boards private or public. You can 'repin' information from other boards, create new pins and 'follow' the information pinned by those that share your interests.
I have literally thousands of pins on an astounding array of topics. From my favorite books series (Outlander anyone?), favorite movies, genealogy, teacher information, humor and of course Celiac and Type 1. If you haven't joined and you have a child with T1D, or if there is any type of chronic illness in any part of your life, I highly recommend this site. You can find an enormous amount of helpful and supportive information that was previously hard to come by; and you can find it all in one place. Below is a snapshot of part of my "Proud Mom of a T1D" board. Come 'follow' me! Click on this link: No Sugar Needed
