Has anyone else noticed that everyone on here seems to have cats. Hardly any mentions of dogs at all!

Are there any dog people out there? Does anyone else think there is a thing with diabetics and cats? I love both cats and dogs but I live in an apartment and can only have a cat! Her name is Hunter.

I'd love to see some pics of your cute pets! :) Has anyone trained their cats or dogs to detect hypos? That would be cool!

Cheers.

i really love cats. i think they're smart, funny, intelligent and all that. but my mother HATES them and so i do not have a cat. instead i have a guinea pig who appears to think she is a dog. or maybe even human. i don't have a decent picture of her though, she can't pose and she definitely can't sit still.

but i've got pictures of my cousin's 2 cats - my 'niece' and 'nephew'. both were rescued strays who are now lovely house cats. cutie's a small black kitten who was given 3 days to live. she has the softest paws in the world! and deebeedoo is a gigantic 10 kilo cat who believes he must be human.

travis, i think your beagle's adorable. i love beagles. and i can't wait to see all the cuties too, leah! (:

I am both a dog and cat person. But have only a cat right now - Rosie... Who, you are correct, Linda, looks remarkably like your Hunter :). Although it looks like Hunter has some white in her sea of black fur - Rosie is just straight up black.

I'd love to add a dog to my family someday. Who knows...

I like cats ok, but I am more of a dog person. I have not tried to train my girl to detect hypos, I'm afraid she doesn't have it in her. Oh well! She's still awfully cute!

I am a dog person I am afraid of cats actually. Not sure why - probably had an evil cat in some horror movie I saw as a child. lol

Anywho - this is my Boston Terrier Charlie. He is out on the patio sunbathing as I type this. And there's nothing wrong with his eye - it's just the camera flash. :)

All your pets are gorgeous! I would love to get a dog! My boyfriends sister has a boston terrier! They are so cute (in an ugly way) Love the boggely eyes!

Nicole, Hunter is straight up black too! i think its just the pic that makes her look white, she has a tiny tip of white on her tail but it wouldn't even be 1cm in diameter! Too Cute!!! :)

Linda,

I call Charlie a New Jersey Terrier. lol

When we got him as a puppy, I was told he was a purebreed. But, he does not have a traditional Boston Terrier look (no bug eyes, his snout is pretty long and not pushed in) so, obviously, he's not purebreed. He got out the door once and chased the mailman who almost maced my baby because he thought he was a pit bull!

Awww, look at all the cuties! I love cats and dogs!! But cats are just so much easier. We are renting right now, but once we buy a house we'll possibly consider a dog, my hubby wants a pug. Here are our two sweeties ... Jack (the grey Manx) and Noel (the buff tabby in the silly outfit -- she's my daughter's best bud).

OK... I'm not a cat person, never have and never will be. I had a dog when I was at home with my mom, and someday will have a dog of my own. Almost everyone I grew up with had dogs too. One fo my friends from high school used to have seizures. They trained their dog to detect them. That dog saved her from many nights at the hospital. Everyones pets are gorgeous!!!

<- Dog person.

The doggie pics posted so far are beautiful. I don't know how to post into this thread but you can see pics of my two dogs on my page. Their names are Legend and Lore and they are a siberian/malamute mix and golden retriever, respectively.

My last cat would wake me up when my blood sugar was low. He was awesome!
