Permalink Reply by acidrock23 on December 8, 2012 at 8:38am Intereting. It seems expensive when they could just put a group together online? I haven't checked out the JDRF forums as I think I can really only hang out in one spot at a time.
I think there'd be too heavy a bias towards folks in their 20's and with already good control, if they did it as an online group. Just looking at the picture in their post it looks like they chose a good variety of adult T1's, probably better breadth than you'd get from a online group.
A few of them even have no hair or grey hair like me!!!!
