Can you name some famous people with diabetes? I know a few: Mary Tyler Moore (of course), Bret Michaels... They don't have to be movie stars, maybe sports figures, authors, musicians, singers, NASCAR...?

Jean Smart was on Designing Women. Halle Berry is also a type I diabetic. Patty Labelle has it as well.

Lol! When i was diagnosed, the commerical with this guy in it popped into my head! now whenever i see it i laugh and always correct his way of saying diabetes. :)

My 5 year old (who is T1) goes nuts when he sees this commercial. He gets all huffy stating: "Its Diabetes, NOT DIABEETUS!". He does the same thing if someone says Pokeman instead of PokemOn. Perhaps a bit of OCD to go along with the T1.
