Hi Mark,

The code you gave is throwing an error (just an fyi)

I just started a new group called "freebies." If you ever get the code straightened out, stop by and post the information on the group.

Sorry, but there is no longer a freebie group. Unfortunately I had to shut it down so that tudiabetes doesn't get in trouble. We're not allowed to exchange prescription items, and Manny wanted to make sure that didn't happen. If you are in need of something non-prescription or have something to offer, I would just post it on the forum.

This Freestyle offer has expired; however, Abbott will send a free meter to those in the Freestyle Promise program, which is a free sign up and includes financial assistance for strips. http://www.freestylepromise.com

Interestingly, http://www.freestylelite.com is back working for the free meter deal.

These will not have the cheapest consumables (strips), but both Lifescan and Freestyle are giving out free meters to PWD and their caregivers.

Bayer is offering free Contour and Breeze2 meters from their home page: http://www.bayerdiabetes.com/US/Index.asp

For those in the US who are looking for meters with less-expensive consumables, Simple Diagnostics is giving away free Clever Chek monitors here: http://www.simplediagnostics.com/documents/74.html The meter itself costs only $12.99 at American Diabetes Wholesale (ADW), and the strips are $16.79 per 50 at ADW.

The Bayer offer requires switching your prescription to the Bayer meter; it will not process otherwise.

After nine weeks, I still haven't received the free CleverChek monitor. I tried calling customer support, and they had problems with inbound audio on their phone lines. Also, there is only a single queue for general support, technical support, and purchase information...
