TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Hello, everyone!

Some of you had been asking for this, so Andreina has put together a beautifully designed flyer, which can be posted in bulletin boards for people to become informed about the community. It's designed in a way that lets people tear a little reminder, with the address of the web site. Here's how it looks:

Ideas of places where it can be posted are bulletin boards in:
-Supermarkets, pharmacies
-Libraries, bookstores
-Schools, colleges
-Places of worship
-Community centers
-Receptions
-Offices of endocrinologists (very important!) :)

You get the idea... so there you have it. Some more tools for those of you who may not have a web site, so you can also help get the word out.

All you need to open the file (called "TuDiabetes_LetterSize_Ad_for_BulletinBoards.pdf" -the link is at the bottom of this post) using Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download for free at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html, if you don't have it installed, print a few copies and pin them to any boards where you get permission to do so.

Thanks a ton, everyone for your continued support!!

In case some of you weren't aware of this, there's a letter-size flyer here (see the attached PDF above) you can download, print and pin in any bulletin boards in your area where you see it fit: campus boards, dorms, break rooms, community boards, etc.

Thanks for your help and support!

I wanted to remind everyone about this resource you can print and share with others offline, to let them know about TuDiabetes.com.

Also, if you want postcard-sized "flyers", please let me know at manny at tudiabetes dot org, including your mailing address, so I can send you a stack.

Is there a similar flyer for EsTuDiabetes.com? There is a large Latino population around me, and there are a couple of supermarkets that cater specifically to the Latino and West Indian communities. While I don't shop often in these locations, they are places where I might be able to place a couple of flyers (if not, I occasionally see tear-off flyers posted on telephone poles, light poles, and random other places).

Manny's post on the Freestyle/Abbott group about the ADA Chicago Latino Initiative reminded me that even if I don't speak the language, maybe I can spread the word...

In case you guys may be wondering what you can do to promote the community to those you cannot reach out to via email, you can print the PDF at the top of this discussion topic and pin it to local community bulletin boards.

Thanks for your support and for making this a family that fills all its members with so much pride and energy!!

I would vouch for how handy the postcards are. I always have a few in my purse and have handed them out everywhere from grocery store to Amtrak trips to members of Oregon's Governor's Commission on reforming the Oregon Health Plan......

As you all know, I am one that loves to spread the word about our happy family. I have handed out the TuDiabetes postcards at my Diabetes Support Group and now my Endo is handing them out in her Information Packet. Good thing, I have so many to use. I am really going to use this flyer as well.

Ever since adding TuDiabetes.com to my personal business cards, I have made it a personal mission to spread the word.

Thank you Manny for all the resources.

I've recently used the back of some of my personal cards to list all my diabetes OC communities and their URLs... it was useful in exchanging information with some of the exhibitors at the recent ADA Expo in NYC...
