If you are frequently asked "Should you be eating that?" . . .

. . . you just might be diabetic.

You know you might be a diabetic when all you want for Christmas is a new pancreas.
If you have extreme thirst and wanting to go to the restroom - you just might be a diabetic
these all made me laugh...I've soo heard them all and I needed this chuckle!
If you ever have told someone "I'm a diabetic" and heard a response along the lines of "But you're not fat!" or "You're too young" ...

If you have a special stash of sweets at work for pick-me-ups, and not from the 3pm slump....

If you have ever wondered "hey.. wonder what my cat would do if I just quickly pricked their paw and tested their bg just once....

If you ever had to explain what a bolus was.....

If you ever had explain why you are acting like a raged animal in a food store/gas station/mega mart at the vending machine/candy isle when you are downing sugar as fast as you can to prevent "falling out"....

When "falling out" means something other than a fight or your boobs falling out of your bra cups....
If you have been found sitting on the kitchen floor at 2 am in the morning with arrays of food before you to fix that low!

if you check tudiabetes before your email

if you have more diabetes supplies packed then clothes for a trip

if you have your D doctor on speed dial

If you expect diabetic gifts at christmas

if your dog plays with used test strips more then her toys because they are more abundant

if you know the diff. flavors of glucose tabs and you have a favorite

if you have ever fought your child or in my case my neice for the last juice box because you need it more then they do....

If you ever used the excuse my blood sugar is low during a test to get out of taking it because you did not study the night before due to real low bg...

you might be diabetic
If you are gardening in the only place in your yard where you've planted stuff (and it's right next to where you park your car), and as you are digging holes for new plants, you find a test strip and can identify how old it might be (because OneTouch changed their colors on them)....You just might....
You might be a diabetic if you secretly enjoy watching people cringe when you stab your finger.
If you are sure your house, car, office, etc might be classified as a crime scene if luminol was sprayed over random surfaces.
You hear the phrase "mindless eating" bantered about and can't even fathom the concept.......you may be diabetic. Seriously......can any of you imagine not thinking about every bite you take? What would that even be like?!?
If you have glucose tabs in your office, car, house,and in every pocket... you just might be diabetic.

If you have your endo home and cell phone numbers on speed dial... you just might be diabetic.

If you wait and look for the delivery truck (with your D supplies) like a kid wait and looks for the ice cream truck... you just might be diabetic.

If you and your fiance are going on a trip and the only things you pack in your bag is a toothbrush and your D supplies... you just might be diabetic.

If your personal assistant has juice boxes and glucose tabs with her when ever you leave the office...you just might be diabetic.
if you shake your fist like your shooting craps waiting for your BS number to appear on your meter..........you might be.
If your family and friends should tell you not to be such a b!@#$, but instead are unaffected and say "You need to eat something," you just .......

If your eyes are glazed and you haven't had a drink, you just might be......
