A town/city that is "diabetes friendly" would have....(use your imaginations)

A variety of low-carb (no sugar) restaurants with very creative chefs! Great exercise paths/trails all over town!

A free gym and carb counts on EVERY MENU in town.

It also wouldn't hurt to have a sugar-free chocolatier within walking distance. ;)

Nutritional info should be manditory, they can have the calories, fat, sodium, etc. listed too, to help everyone that needs it! I think if it were available, most people would make better food choices when eating out.

A large health clinic with all the necessary professionals in the center of town with walk in appt. available...podiatrists, endo.s, nephrologists (sp?) , ophthalmologist, dietitians, all with up to date extensive training in diabetes care and research!! Maybe a Dr. Bernstein Clinic
