I am just so excited to be on my new path leading me to become a diabetes educator. I was just accepted into the accelerated BSN program at Mount St Mary's and will be an RN hopefully by the end of next year.

After being Type 1 for almost 27 years, and gaining knowledge and I am ready to share inspiration and guide those who are like me to making the most of their lives.

Just had to share!

Congrats !
Congratulations! I would love to become a CDE but I don't want to go to nursing school. Unfortunately (I believe) you need some type of medical degree for the CDE program. I wonder if there's a lay counselor type program?
There are basically 5 paths to become a CDE, and you need to work for 2 years in that discipline before moving on to the specialty. It won't happen overnight, but I'm excited to start the journey. Thanks for everyone's support and kind words.
Congratulations. Thank you for wanting to teach, inspire and care for us.
