I hope not. Health before wealth, always.

You're kidding, right? Here in BC we have a government that is Liberal by name but Conservative by philosophy, and the NDP is going down in flames in the upcoming election.

That a shame that NDP down the tubes I owe my life to Tommy Douglas and medicare. Right wing left is the direction that canada is going which is funny since Obama nationalizing things like banks instead of letting laissez faire capitalism take it's course.

Not cutting back at all. I still see my endo three times a year. I still test as often as I ever did. Fortunately, I have some money in savings that should last me until my disability claim goes through or I meet my deductible, whichever comes first. Once the disability benefits are approved, I'll have everything paid for 100-percent by the disability system until I can find work again. Unfortunately, I'll only have $900 a month to pay for everything non-medical, but at least I don't have to pay my medical expenses out of pocket, because that would swallow up the entire disability cheque.

I'm fortunate that my insurance pays for my appointments with my dietician. I am saddened when others can't get help. In MA we have health care for everyone now...but I'm not sure what it pays for since my Insurance is from the military.

This is frightening and distubing, but what are people with diabetes supposed to do? Illnesses and medical conditions are expensive to treat. I know taxpayers are paying a huge amount to support the was against terrorism, but there should be more support to help people with their medical bills during this recession. Many people have no other way to pay for doctor visits and treatments except through employer assisted insurance programs.
