Anyone using the Bayer Contour USB meter? The web site mentions compatibility with Mac (and PC).

I've been using the contour for about 3 weeks and love it!!! It works great with my pc! My doc loves the reports! Karen
I'm hoping to use it on my Mac (no PCs in my house - we have 4 Macs). Fingers crossed.
I use the usb meter sometimes. I prefer the regular Contour for some reason that I've no explanation for other than it's been a trusted meter forever. The usb meter just plugs into your pc via a 'usb' port so it is very cool for loading your numbers right up. I checked 25 bg's when I first received the usb meter and I found it and my Contour agreed in results.
Karen, thanks for the information on the test results. I've been using OneTouch meters (mostly because they were all free - I have 3 of them) but I want something that work with my Mac and does not require a special cable to get at the data.
I'm using the Contour USB and I really like it. I installed the Glucofact Deluxe software on my 15" Mac BookPro and it works great (Mac BookPro, OS 10.5.8). I had to play around with Java engine that was installed. I ended up downgrading to the one that was recommended in the Bayer software guide.

I've also started a group for Bayer Contour USB meter users. Please join and we can share any information that comes along the meter.
I cannot get the software installed (Mac Mini Core Duo 1.6 running OS 10.5.8). Any ideas?
I've been using the USB meter for about a month now and I absolutely love it. I have never been really good about logging my blood sugars, and this has helped me out tremendously. I had some trouble downloading Glucofacts, but I finally got it to download. It was a little frustrating.....but now that I have it, I love it!
