A while back, we had a discussion topic on the best iPhone Diabetes Apps:
http://www.tudiabetes.org/forum/topics/iphone-diabetes-applications
(a while back as in late 2008, which is FOREVER ago in technology terms)

Since then, tons more apps have been developed (and improved upon) for the iPhone and also Google launched the Android operating system that has been growing like crazy in terms of adoption.

My questions to you are:
  1. Do you use any mobile phone apps to log your BG or other diabetes related info?
  2. If so which ones have you looked at (free/paid)?
  3. What are your favorite features about each and what would you hope to see them do better?

Another Track3 user here! I've tried several iPhone apps since my DX last month, and Track3 is the one I've liked the most (haven't felt like shelling out the extra $ to try Diabetes Pilot). I definitely like it the best of the ones I've tried. I just wish it had a section to log weight.
New to DM and new to TuD, but I have HTC Eris and have OnTrack.. and it has all the features everyone is talking about on here... so far.. it has been great!
I just asked this very question in a previous discussion. I use a blackberry, and I was looking for a software that I can use to help with Carb Counting. I am not sure what's out there but what have you found useful and not very complicated?
hi Guys, interesting topic. I plan to do some research regarding this as part of my college course. Your help will be appreciated. Chat soon :)
I've been using the app by iAbetic and I'm loving it! My only complaint is that I have to log insulin in full units, and with a pump I can give myself insulin in 10th of a unit. And I wish there was a place to input weight. But other than that, I love the convenience and the ease of the program. Nice user design!
Track3... Company is still around.. Got some sort of email from them even though I didnt own one.. Did seem interesting for the non-technology inclined...

Might want to contact them by email and see if you can get it upgraded/and get an address =)
Here's a new app announced today by Hope Warshaw, focused on meal planning for people with type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes:

trying to get this thing out there and see if I can't get some constructive feedback. This is a simple web based app that I designed to run on my iPhone when I couldn't find another to do it. Originally it was only written for myslef but others have seen it and suggested that I make it available to others with diabetes. It uses insulin/glucose/carb ratios and a target glucose to calculate units of insulin or carbs needed to get current glucose levels back to the target. It is hosted on a free web hosting site so there is a small pop up window the first time you load the page but i feel the value of this program is worth the tiny annoyance.

Free Insulin & Carbohydrate Calculator

Any constructive critisizm or other ideas on programs that I might write are more than welcomed.

Free Insulin & Carbohydrate Calculator (FICC) has been moved to a page that does not have the annoying banners and pop-up windows
