Dating?
OK, so since there are like almost 15,000 people with or connected to someone with diabetes on here, I figure this at least a decent place to ask. Is there a spot on this site for single people with diabetes to meet others with diabetes for dating? I just spent two and a half years in a relationship with a girl who just couldn't quite "get it" and after some thinking I realized I would like to try and date someone with diabetes, if only because they would likely "get it". Is there a site for that here or somewhere else? I don't want to go to a general purpose site, I would like something devoted specifically for people with diabetes to meet and get to know each other. I really don't feel like dealing with riff raff :-)
Thoughts anyone?

There is a Single Diabetics group on here but it isn't a "dating" group. I recently found a site called diabeticdate.com a few weeks ago. I signed up but the site was so slow that day and I got frutstrated and didn't really get to browse around check it out. But that is all I have looked into so far.I have to go back and check it out. But I am a new diabetic so there might be other ones too.

Perhaps you're a bit young to want to date a woman who has children, but the mother of a D child is also someone who "gets it." No help, though, on where you might find such a person.

Yeah, I'm not really looking for someone who has kids, but I also try not to dismiss anything out of hand. I'm mainly just looking for a place to find other people.......unless of course someone just feels like messaging me straight up, lol :)

There's another group on here called "Single Diabetics": They have more than 300 members and they seem pretty active =)

Sharing our lives with someone special, whether in the short or long term is a wonderful gift. If we do that right, no matter how long the events are shared, these memories are positive ones. I dated a diabetic, who was my senior in diabetes, and I was not a diabetic baby at the time. SIxty, seventy years between us +/-, and pretty even in those experiences.
What ghosts will she find haunting you? What ghosts do you not share with "them", if they are not like us? What can she understand, you need her to learn-know because you cannot bare to explain (again)?
