Here is a little game. In the past 3+ years I have seen many people feel very sad when they found out they had diabetes (I felt the same way, when I was diagnosed back in 2002).

Diabetes is not the end. Diabetes is the beginning...of the greatest journey you could go on, you'll have massive ups and downs, but you'll find new found respect for life, and you'll find that you are a much stronger, thoughtful, healthy individual.
Diabetes is the beginning of really feeling one again. Along with the fact you find new friends.
