Disney's Family.com seeks teens with T1 and their parents for video series

DisneyFamily.com is looking for teens/tweens between the ages of 11 and 17 to participate in the 3rd season of Type 1 Diabetes videos, a series titled "My Extraordinary Life Living with Type 1 Diabetes".  This year each video will focus on one family.  Families who are interested are invited to contact Miranda Campolo at miranda@creelfilms.com.

This season will be a little bit different than the previous seasons, as the focus will be on communication between parents and teens with Type 1.  For most parents with teens, communication can be a big
challenge.  For parents with tweens/teens with Type 1 Diabetes, communication can be a flashpoint.  There is an on-going struggle for parents between loosening the reigns of control and keeping their
children safe.  And for teens, between the yearning for autonomy and acceptance and their medical condition that requires constant vigilance. Season 3 of the Lilly Disney Video Series will focus on
effective communication between parents and tweens/teens with Type 1 Diabetes.
