A couple of irregularities have been brought to our attention regarding email notifications of TuDiabetes activity. We are wondering how widespread this issue is. If you are noticing anything unusual regarding the emails you get, whether it be related to individual emails from TuDiabetes or the new Daily Digest option, would be please leave a comment describing the issue?

Thank you for your help!

I'm not noticing anything different. I chose not to receive emails when a new member joins, or when someone comments on my page. I am getting them fine when someone comments on a discussion I'm following.
When I changed to daily digest, it seemed like my level of email activity was truncated. Where I normally get in excess of twenty or thirty email notifications a day, my daily digest was summarizing 5 or 6 each day. Since going back to individual emails 17 hours ago, I've received 19 individual emails from TuDiabetes.
I do not know what Daily Digest is but for some time I have not been receiving some emails. At Teena's suggestion, I pressed follow on the discussions that I wanted again, so many of those I am still receiving. I stopped receiving notifications in my off Tud account. I checked almost everything on my profile page to jolt it back in but I still do not receive notification when I get mail in my inbox on Tud or messages on my page here. I cannot find the Magic Button.
I am not sure what the Daily Option is, but as far as the discussions that I'm following and the emails that I receive when people post a comment on my wall, I don't see any differences. Every once in a while, I will run into the situation that I am not notified about a post on a discussion that I'm following, but for the most part, everything seems to be fine.
here is a discussion from SuFu with a reply from Manny regarding the new daily digest option

Just thinking about this more, I do find that my spam filter will erratically funnel my TuDiabetes emails to it - some will go there and others will successfully make it to my inbin. Hm.
I was getting my comments back in my email but now that has been resulaved.
I do have a question about this. I'm new so forgive my ignorance! When it says "follow" does that mean you are choosing to get the emails? If I change that to stop following does that mean they will not send the emails? I read everything at the site and am finding my email box overflowing from emails from here.

thanks!

Yes, what you have described is correct. Follow = emails of further comments; Stop following = no more emails.

You can also establish your settings to manage the emails you receive. "Settings" is in the upper right under your profile name, then choose "email" on the upper left to select in what instances you want to get emails or not and save your settings.
Thank you!
I get 2 of the same notification often, but not always. I am not able to opt out of receiving emails from some of our longer discussions.
Yes, Judith...I too get notified twice in a row for the same entry on Word Association and 3 Word Story.
