I personally wouldn't dose with it again out of fear of wrong dosing. I would call the company and see if they will replace it for you and in fact they may want you to return the defective pen for further investigation.
Do not know if this applies as being relavent to your problem. Sometimes the needles does not allow me to turn the bottom of the pen or its really hard to. But if I switch out the needle, even if its new, it works just fine.
