I have to get bloodwork done tomorrow morning and am wondering if having taking glucose tablets will interfere with the fasting itself. I'm worried that if I wake up low I won't be able to do the bloodwork.

You should avoid getting low--tabs will affect the lab results.

Everything worked out ok, but sugar went up after they drew the blood. Is that normal?

my bg's tend to rise during the morning that I get a fasting blood test. Missing breakfast can cause bg's to rise--no bolus given, plus DP at work.
