I really admire this place a lot and I appreciate your effore to help
diabetic communities all over the world.
I am very confused with my diabetes - I was diagnosed with type 2
about 8 years ago and since then I take tablets and added lantus 3
years ago but my results are not good though.

recently I went to a Dr and he puts me on amaril 2 one time at morning
- Galvus met 1000/500 2 times - 500 mg of gluchophage one time a day -
levemir 20 units and some 2 drugs for Cholestrol reduction - but even
though I still have high BS at morning (almost 250) gets better to 160
or so between 4pm to midnight.

Right before seeing this Dr I was taking Amaril 3 ml one time at
morning - 2500 glocophage 3 times a day - 25u of lantus

Either two prescribtion did not work for me
The reading before last for lipid shows triglyceride of 1200 !!! while
the last one I did yesterday shows 333 (I was excersising for about 45
days - jogging and some weight training).

I always have up and down severly like I could measure 80 and then 350 after food despite all these drugs I am taking.

I tried the low carbs several times and I always get best control when
I am doing that but the problem is that I can not stick to that more
than one month at the time.

I am sick and tired from Drs as I did not find even one who knows and
appreciate the importance of food and excersise, also every Dr I go to
- I am trying to convince him or her to put me on bolus insulin but
they refuse untill they try with me again different tablets
prescribtion in a long journey of agony.

I do not trust Drs anymore, I can not stick to low carb much and I can not stick to work out program because of long hours of work.
I beg you to give me some support and advice and I will follow strictly.

Thanks a lot and God bless you all

It sounds like a Dr problem Belila and if the treatment is not working you may be miss diagnosed and are a Type 1 LADA diabetic. I would on insist getting tested to see if you are a Type 1.

Do you know other diabetics in Dubai that have a good Dr there or in the middle east? I would think networking and knowing other diabetics would really help you in your case. That could save you many Dr trips.

I feel the frustration in your thread and you have the right to be frustrated.
Thanks a lot Mr. Pauly, there is a lot of Drs here but they are very conventional. they always think that patient has to try all teh maximum tablets before he gets bolus insulin, I read Dr bernstien book and all the informations in this book is very myserious for these Drs, that's why I am frustrated, everytime I go to a Dr, increase Glucophage or change lantus to levemir or give me Avandia or change Avandia to lantus, etc.....

What If I excersise seriously and eat Low carb with the above mentioned treatment is that will do with me or no, again I appreciate your help Mr. pauly
Yes eating as low carb as you can will really help any diabetic. Give up rice, cereal, bread for a month and see if that makes a difference in your numbers. Exercise helps too.
