Greetings:
Recently, my wife saw an ophthalmologist/retinologist and he told her that she had some bleeding inside her eye due to proliferate retinopathy. He advised her that she needed to have her eye or rather the side retina lasered. She had the procedure done on Thursday August 5 and he told her that he did 800 burns. He also told her that he wanted to do further laser work on the same eye and his office would be contacting her later to make an appointment. Well, we haven’t heard from his office yet and this has led us to have some questions. If you have any experience with this procedure, perhaps you might like to attempt to answer them:
1) How soon after one session can a doctor do another laser session to the same eye?
2) Does anyone want to hazard a guess about how many more sessions might be required?
3) What can my wife expect in the future? Her diabetes is under good control but will she need further laser sessions in the future?
Any information or advice given is greatly appreciated.
