how often do you have lows?
I am sure this has been covered repeatedly, but it's hard to do a search for it. I'm just wondering if I am way out of the norm as far as frequency of lows. I am actually having a really good spell right now. I just realized that it's been well over a week, maybe ten days since my last low. And that may be as long as I have *ever* gone. My usual frequency is probably somewhere closer to several times a week and it is not at all uncommon for me to have two or three in a day.

I am aiming for tight control, and I do have frequent lows. I would say on average, I have a "decent" low (abt. 50mgdl or less) every other day. That's about average, but I have had as many as five lows in a single day. Fun! (Ok, not really.) I am hoping this will change in the next few weeks, since I'll be going on pump therapy. August 16th (first day of OmniPod training) can't come soon enough for me!

I sure hope the pump helps. Just be warned that it takes awhile to get the pump correctly regulated with basals and boluses and corrections, so don't expect miracles overnight. And you may want to run a little high for awhile, because that's better than having MORE lows.

I don't know why this seems so foreign to everyone...I have a low every 6 hours like clockwork, although I'm not on the pump. Maybe that's why...

I tend to have them every day, probably going to have to lower my dose of Lantus in the evening.....
