I was diagnosed type 1 at 19.

My father was just diagnosed last summer as being Type 1... at age 54.

Was Diagnosed as Type 1 at 40. Almost 3 years ago. My hats off to all of you that had to deal with all this as kids & teenagers.

I was 58 when diagonised with Type 1 caused by cysts in pancreas irratating and wasting the insulin production area of the pancreas.

I was 17 and going through a very rebellious stage. Its still a struggle one that I have given up on and come back to many times in the 11 years I have had diabetes.

45 years old but it was a correct diagnosis as to having diabetes but a wrong diagnosis as to type -- I was 47 when I was correctly diagnosed as a Type 1.
