How to Update your Status?
Like you would do on Twitter or Facebook, this update persists at the top of your page, letting others give a quick update about yourself, sharing what you are doing with other members of the community.
Also, these status updates appear on the Latest Activity feed on the home page of the site as well as on the Latest Activity box on your profile page, as shown below:
if you don't want your status updates to appear on the Latest Activity, click on Settings > Privacy, uncheck the "Update My Status" box as shown below and click the "Save" button.

Hey Manny...is it possible to still have my "Buddy Poke" on my profile page, while still implementing the "What are you doing" feature? I rather like my Buddy Poke!!!! Right now I have to pull it up, while prior to the new "update my status" feature; my Buddy Poke was right there!

The best thing that can be done is to pull it up right underneath the status box. Did you remove the Buddypoke from your page or the new status feature pushed it away? I don't see it on your page any more.

I used to have the My Status Application that would pull in my status updates from twitter. That is no longer there on my page. I can bring it up, but not the same and it doesn't post to my wall. Can you make the status thing pull in from twitter and such, and still do a manual update?

My understanding is that the new status feature will evolve to allow pulling in your status to another network (like Twitter) or viceversa. I will check in on that.
