"Hypo manager" on Cozmo....is there anything like that on any other pumps?

With the news of the Cozmo's demise, I am starting to look around at other pumps and am wondering if any other pumps have this feature. The hypo manager feature on the Cozmo has probably saved my life or come close to it more than once...

Much like how pumps allow you to program correction boluses, the hypo manager essentially works in reverse and tells you how many carbs you should eat to correct an over-bolus.

The great thing about it, is that it doesn't have to wait until you are already hypoglycemic to warn you. My BG might be 100, but I've got two units of insulin on board so the pump will recommend 30g of carbs to prevent getting low in the first place. This is exceptionally useful for exercising or sports...

on behalf of the Medtronic community, nope. However, if I decide to have a 50g Coke to correct a hypo, the minimed can give me the right amount of insulin so that afterward I will be in my control window, most people who do this will go ahead and correct by eating, then bolus for the difference with a square wave over 30 minutes and behold, good numbers without an overshoot.

I don't correct a hypo that way anyway. I just eat what is necessary to boost me up to 80-100 or so by eating glucose tabs... 1 tab=20 pts (for me). cheers.
I also am a Cozmo user, and I find it amazing that none of the other Pump Manufacturers can tell me how many grams of carb to eat when my BG is low - - - Why should I have 50g coke when all I need is 23g carb to bring me back to normal. The pump is a computer, and it should easily calculate the exact number of carbs required to correct a low BG.........I guess I will have to carry a calculator in one pocket, a test monitor in one pocket, and a pump in one pocket when my Cozmo warranty expires.
Don't you wish there were a monitor that you could stick into any food and it would tell you how many carbs there were. Just dreaming.
ah....i'll add that to my diabetic wishlist
With the bolus wizard (minimed) when low you can put in an anount of carbs and increase until just before it suggests adding insulin then eat that amount if you wish but it wont automatically do it and the trick only works when low.
Thanks Rashelle, but I usually don't think clearly when my BG is 40 or 50, so the hypo manager is a truly fantastic feature for me. I wish one of the other pump companies would add this feature.
How does it know if, for example, you are heading to the gym versus sitting in a car? Because your insulin and possible glucose needs will be different depending on your physical activity.
it knows because you end up telling it =) ...a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
It suggests carb grams to bring me back to my goal of 100. Then I go from there - either to the gym or sit in a car.
