yeah usually when i've put off eating, not fun but the difference would be that i usually get a headache from not eating instead of shakes.

Yes...Hate it when I feel low and test and I am high...what is up with that?

Been there! Makes me wonder because our meters aren't accurate. 20%+- off could mean a low without the meter showing a low number. When I feel low, I eat regardless of the number.

yes i get it sometimes and it is fairly common. the blood sugar may not be low yet, but what is being felt is a sudden drop in blood sugar from where ever it was before. Or it's pretty common for anyone (D and not) if you haven't eaten for long periods

Felt it really often when I got the bloods into a normal range after being high for a long time. Testing very often cause it felt so strange. I now only take the sencond drop of bld cause Ive seen massive differences in readings. It could also be that we are coming down fast, sometimes if I feel weak and my readings are fine, I could then be low within 15 mins. I can't understand how people can do exercise when blds are around the 6 mark, I go into hypo really quick and I keep fighting lows for the rest of the day. Thing is I really dislike eating while exercising. Catch 22.

ugh i agree, going low is a major reason why nobody wants to excercise

Yep. Thankfully I don't rely on my "internal blood glucose meter" the way I used to ;)

I hate when I think I'm in the 60's and then it turns out to be a 170!

Yeah...the other day I was feeling all hot and sweaty and I was SURE I was low. Turns out my wife turned off the AC and forgot to turn it back on.

I have been having hormonal fluctuations lately--my heart will start pounding like I'm super low, and I will test and be in the 300s due to the &^##% hormones! Sometimes in the middle of the night... isn't that fun?

I guess it IS nice to have blood testing meters, though, isn't it? Just think if we were back in the pre-meter days; we'd be treating those fake lows and then have horribly high sugars.

And tudiabetes helps, doesn't it? After the post about washing your hands and using the second drop of blood, I had an interesting experience. I had just hopped off the exercise bike, and I tested. 318. Oops, forgot to wash my hands. 259. Ooops, forgot to use the second drop of blood. 242.

oh yes quite often. the thing that frustrates me is if i treat it without testing if i'm in a hurry or out somewhere i can't really whip out my meter.
