I dont know why the insulin pump companies have not thought of this or don't think it is necessary to do this but wouldn't it make sense if you could adjust the amount of tubing with a little pulley type thing. I agree that the tubing is necessary because people put their pumps in different places but say for example you are like me and clip the pump to your side and have the insertion site on your back, you dont need 23 or 48 inches of tubing, totally unecessary. Why don't they have a little button where you can suck the tubing in or out depending on the situation. Just a little rant. I know this is attainable and have suggested it to medtronic many times, only to hear that the tubing is necessary because people put the insertion sites on different parts of their bodies. Also, does anybody know of any insulin pumps that have tubing that have the pulley option. I would probably think of switching to them because I hate the tubing. Thank You. Oh, I am aware that the omnipod is tubeless but I dont like it.
