I heard on the Howard Clark show today that the credit companies are getting into the act and they're starting to keep track of how you fill your meds. They have a name for this and I forget what the credit bureaus are calling it. They are tracking how you adhere to following your Drs. orders and are grading you on it. This is going too far. Wish I'd of taped this. I don't fill my meds when I read the insert and find out it is causing more damage than not. Just like Omperazole promotes Osteroporis and I'm on Actonel to prevent osteroporsis. The Drs. don't read the inserts, they just hand it out and tell you to take it. Needless to say I don't take it.
No, our Insurance hasn't called us about anything. Our Pharmacy doesn't call us to remind us about refills or missed meds. either. If I'm down to my last pill or drops of Insulin or strips, etc. on occasion or if I spill some pills on the floor or in the sink, the Pharmacy supplies an advance to last me until they fax my Drs. for a new prescription back. That has saved me at least 5 times anyways through the last decade. I sure appreciate them being so helpful.
I suppose I should ask them to order it for me ahead, since I forget sometimes.
