am awfully slow to respond to you all because I am quite busy and quite hesitant to tell my diabetic 2 journey which is strange, "too good to be true" to most of long term T2. It's OK, it's understandable.
Here is my journey:
I have been a 20 years plus T2,
In 2008 I had neuoropathic nerve pains, leg pains, as almost all long term T2 will suffer, and other
diabetes complications such as never having a good night sleep .My fasting readings ran from 145 to 180 mg/dl. My hb A1c was around 7.5%.
As I always have been a learner, knowledge seeker , I came accross DR. Beirnteins formula (6,12,12) then I started using it with the natural herbs , combination of herbs, that I discovered and developped, my blood glucose level started coming down slowly and steadily and my leg pains slowly
disappeared, as I learned from Mr. Richard Vaugh from his writing on the internet that try not to have high above 140mg/dl, so I did try his advice. Thanks Richard
So I learned that to combat the leg pains issues, I must have 2 things: Try to have your Blood sugar level always less than 140mg/dl at ALL TIMES by eating the low carb foods....and my A1c mustbe less than 5.6%..
I beleive that my diabetes 2 malady can VERY possibly medically cured in the next 2, 3 years. Why? NOT now.?
My humble answer is, It took decade(s) of my unknowwingly eating the wrong foods to damage my pancreas then to reverse the condition of it, it takes time.
I noticed, as I started the above methode, without any meds to NOW, my hbA1C started coming down from 6.7% , in Nov. 2020 to now, April 2012, it's 5.5%,
see attached pic.
As of today, May 2012, my leg pains have been long gone, I sleep well at nights as I was in my 20's.
I will tell more about journey, In 07 my Cholesterol level was 245, my Trig was
171, and now 165 and 40, YES , 40. I will post copies of those medical blood works to you, folks,
because "Talk is cheap"also a tittle of Keith Richards CD which I like so much,
Bye for now. Thanks for reading my "ranting"
Have a great day

If you follow Bernstein, then you know that Bernstein believes that if you normalize your blood sugar, then you can remove the primary thing that kills of your pancreas, high blood sugars. I'm glad to hear of your success. All too many people suffer through progression in their diabetes and disturbing complications without even knowing about options like Bernstein's diet. It may not work for everyone, but I'm glad it worked for you.

Thanks for your compliments

Bernstein helped me, too, though I was lucky to have read his book just a month after I was diagnosed. I guess we'll see if our improvement is long term. I don't believe progression is inevitable, but I don't really expect to be "cured," either. I'm fine with that, though, because I'm happy with what I eat. Continued good luck to you!

Hi Jan,
Keep up the good works,

Thanks for kind words,
I will try to spread the messages as you put it.
