Here is a bit out of an ldn website. Remenber this is being trialled for Chrone's disease at Penn State University on 6 to 17 year olds.

Bihari et al found that a low oral dose of naltrexone, when taken at bedtime, led to a doubling or tripling of low levels of circulating beta-endorphin.7 Bihari has since treated some 100 people with autoimmune disorders. None of them has progressed further while the patient continued taking low dose naltrexone each night at bedtime. Since no side effects are apparently associated with its use, this medication might well be studied as a possible preventive for Type I diabetes in those youngsters with beta-cell autoantibodies.

People with Type 1 and their relatives have a much greater chance of getting other autoimmune diseases such as celiac and ms. Even if taking LDN has no effect on diabetes if it reduces the risk of developing these other diseases that has to be a positive. Dr Bernstein recommends its use to control carb craving and weight control and has found it effective in about 73% of cases.

Hi All

I am looking for some help, I need your comments and thumbs up for the following

The Proposal I put on the "Your Country Your Call" Site is sitting at no.4. The site is getting thousands of hits a day and 20 people have come from the site to the database.
So the word is spreading. We need to keep this in the top 10 to stay visible.
The Odds of winning are slim as the idea is to generate employment but it is bringing LDN to the attention of thousands of people. I need a hand to get as many people to go to this LINK and giving the thumbs up and commenting to keep it in the top 10. This site is being advertised on TV and radio so I think this is a great opportunity for all

Trials at Penn state for Crohn's

Penn State are recruiting children 6 to 17 for study of the use of LDN in Crohn's Disease

The principal investigator is Prof Jill Smith Past president of The American Pancreas Association

There is research partly funded by JDRF in UK which shows a link between Crohn's and Type 1. See this announcement from Cambridge University
